One morning, when Rat is cleaning his store, he comes across some old dress-up clothes, including a royal outfit. Distraught and unable to sleep without his fluffy bunny, Morgan accepts the help of the ‘Detective Bananas’.

It’s Billy Cart Race Time! We open on the Teddies and Bananas with their billy carts. The Teddies’ one is really well made and looks very fine compared to the Bananas’ billy cart, which is wobbly and rough. The Bananas are awoken very early one morning by a bird singing loudly outside their window. They are very sleepy as a result and don’t wish to be woken so early every morning – even if the bird is very cute. The bird needs to move somewhere else.

While the Bananas are nursing Pedro the Pig, Dolly and Camembert become increasingly jealous of all the attention that he is getting. So they pretend to be sick too, in order to get some attention from the Bananas. The Teddies can’t play with the Bananas today as they are all busy working on their respective collections. Even Rat has a collection – a very special collection of cheese crumbs!

On their way, they pass by Charlie’s place and help him tidy up. In the process, they come across an old lamp.

But the Bananas are shocked when the ducklings mistake them for their mother! What can the Bananas do?

When the Cuddlestown playground is damaged in a storm, Morgan decides to open a cafe to raise money to pay for the repairs. The Bananas help Rat put up a new set of shelves in his shop. But the shelves collapse and Rat’s shop is suddenly a big mess. Now Rat has to find somewhere else to stay while his own place gets repaired.

Rat is going on a hike to the waterfall, to look for a rare flower – the Purple Spotted Peony. He persuades the Bananas to come with him, telling them how much fun they’ll have. But then he gets them to carry all the food and equipment. Bernard enters Cuddlestown in a ‘Tidy Towns’ competition and puts the Bananas in charge of cleaning the neighbourhood. To help them do the job quickly, Charlie gives them a pair of walkie-talkies he calls ‘Banana Phones’.

It’s Recycling Day in Cuddlestown but Rat is too lazy to take his rubbish to the dump. So instead he tricks the Bananas into thinking his old junk is a Do It Yourself Truck. Rat loves being the centre of attention and what better way to get attention than to be the best at something.

It’s Rat’s favourite day of the year – April Fools Day! This is the day when Rat the trickster can play his trickiest tricks of all. And as quick as a flash, a very happy Rat plays a trick on the Bananas and Teddies. The Bananas give Lulu a music box which plays a tinkly tune as a miniature ballerina spins around. Lulu is delighted – but then the music box breaks down. The Bananas offer to fix it.

Oh no! The Bananas’ favourite pot for making jelly is broken! They need help to repair it and they know who can help them. Charlie the inventor! Rat puts up a big screen in the park, and invites everyone to a special movie night – but then he realises he doesn’t have a movie to show. So the Bananas offer to make a movie for him and enlist the help of the Teddies.

After a series of innocent accidents, Morgan starts to believe he’s a bad luck bear. He’s convinced that nothing he does will turn out right. The Bananas try to make him think his luck has changed by giving him a pretend 4 leaf clover. When the Bananas play a game near Tolstoy and Tomasina’s waterhole, they accidentally damage a garden and squash some flowers that the turtles planted. Then, when they try to replant the flowers, they make matters even worse.
