City Wildlife Rescue
It’s a birds eyes view into the worlds’ largest and busiest wildlife rescue centre, nestled against all odds in Canada’s largest and busiest city.
Episode 1
It's spring-time and the centre is full of babies. The vet techs go gaga over the cutest baby possums. And on the other side of town a mother duck and ten ducklings are stranded on a rooftop patio and Toronto Wildlife Centre steps in for the rescue.
Episode 2
When a group of bunnies survives a dog attack, this rehab team plays mom until the bunnies are ready to be released. The team also hopes a family of swans will take on a baby cygnet, but mother swan is not so eager to add another baby to her brood.
Episode 3
A young coopers hawk falls into a pool and then escapes. The rescue team wants to bring him in for assessment, but they have to find him first. The team also gets up close and personal with some strong skunk defenses.
Episode 4
A baby mink is abandoned on a store shelf, so the rehab team has to work extra hard to make sure he grows into a tough and wild mink. And the medical team tries to get rid of a nasty mite that’s eating away at a coyote's skin.
Episode 5
A raccoon runs into a peanut butter jar on a sweltering summer day and Toronto Wildlife Centre’s rescue team takes the call. And a painted turtle injures her eye in a car accident and is rushed to the veterinary eye doctor.
Episode 6
A fox is rescued from a stall in a horse barn and the medical and rehab teams work together to get it back into the wild. A possum with an injured toe goes in for surgery. Will the medical team be able to save it’s toe?
Episode 7
It’s the end of summer and that means baby cedar wax wings fill the aviaries. And Toronto Wildlife Centre’s rescue crew team up with the ministry of natural resources to catch a coyote.
Episode 8
A young red tailed hawk is walks on the property of a local resident and the team has to capture him to find out why he’s not flying. But, while he may not be able to fly, he sure can run. Also, the medical team helps a rare albino squirrel recover.
Episode 9
A turkey vulture has an injured shoulder and the med team has a hard time getting him into the xray. A groundhog baby is orphaned in a car accident, and the medical team tries to determine whether she has a limp, or is just a funny little ground hog.
Episode 12
A turkey vulture is ready for release but needs to find a flock. Nathalie and her team race against the clock to find funding for a new facility, and the staff is stumped by a toad with a mysterious illness.
