In order to convince their landlord, Mr. Roper, that there is nothing going on between them and their new male roommate, Chrissy and Janet tell him that Jack is gay.
And Mother Makes Four
Chrissy's visiting mother, not knowing that the girls have rented the spare room to Jack, causes havoc when she decides to spend the night with them.
Roper's Niece
Roper feels convinced that his niece will be safe going out with Jack, and Jack would rather be with Janet and Chrissy celebrating Janet's birthday, until he sees the niece.
No Children, No Dogs
Jack's fast-talking friend, Larry, gives Jack and the girls a puppy and the kids go to all lengths keeping this from Roper who forbids animals in his building.
