The Yorkshire Vet
In The Yorkshire Vet, Julian Norton is joined by his partner, fellow vet, and former Herriot trainee, Peter Wright, as well as their dedicated team of staff at Skeldale Veterinary Centre (James Herriot’s original practice).
Episode 1
Julian gets an emergency call to see a badly injured Llama who's smashed his jaw and lost some teeth. Can Julian fix the fracture and get him back to his day job as a trekking companion or is it the end of the line for Dobbie?
Episode 2
In this episode Julian is called out to a desperately ill calf, he is weak and cannot stand. This baby is so poorly that his life hangs in the balance. Peter gets a ‘bum deal’ when he meets a senior citizen cat with severe constipation.
Episode 3
In this episode, farmer Richard Todd brings one of his much-loved semi-feral moggies into the practice. But ‘Pretty Tom’ isn’t living up to his name. Peter believes the lump on Tom’s face could be a life-threatening tumour.

Following the comings and goings at the World’s most famous vets - James Herriot’s old practice, Skeldale Veterinary Centre in Thirsk, North Yorkshire now run by former Herriot trainee, Peter Wright and partner, Julian Norton. he
Episode 5
Julian is called out to a poorly three-day-old calf who’s collapsed and looking very sorry for itself. Julian suspects a bacterial infection and warns farmer Stuart Robinson that the calf could be contagious.
Episode 6
Julian gets a panic-stricken call from Alpaca farmer, Jackie Barlow. Two of her alpacas, Gavroche and Francesca, have sneaked into the barn and gorged themselves on the food stash. They’re struggling to breathe, foaming at the mouth and choking.
Episode 7
Julian is called out to treat two cattle from farmer Stuart Robinson’s herd. Julian removes a stone from the first cow’s hoof. But the second animal is a different proposition. Despite being sedated, one-ton bull Merchant drags Julian around the barn.
Episode 8
In this episode, Peter is pushed to his limits when he tries to save the life of a new mum who has prolapsed her uterus while calving. Julian goes head-to-head with a 300kg boar named Donald who doesn’t want to part with his sharp and dangerous tusks.

In this episode, with the harvest fast approaching, young working dog Ted has fallen ill after running through a field of barley.
