Set in the mythic old West, the series explores the legend that a dead man's gun grants whoever possesses it unforeseen powers, but with dangerous results.
Three boys find the Dead Man's Gun and after their own misadventures with it, fall in with Frank Santee, a bank robber, and murderer. But the next night, when the bank robbery turns violent, the boys kill Santee and are declared heroes.
