Mr. Lane helps the family decide on his birthday gift by leaving a clipped advertisement of a Swiss pocketknife lying around. They find the advertisement, but think Mr. Lane wants the hunting rifle advertised on the reverse side!

Ross Runs Away
Mr. and Mrs. Lane go to Atlantic City for the weekend, leaving Patty in charge at home. Patty promises to keep Ross in hand. Ross has other ideas. Ross threatens to run away, unless Patty eases home discipline.

Three Little Kittens
Patty and Ross buy three kittens from a neighborhood boy. They plan to sell the kittens for a profit to a lady who's been looking for kittens. To their dismay they discover that the lady wants only Persian cats!

Too Young And Foolish To Go Steady
When Patty hears another boy wants to date her, she breaks up with Richard. The other boy turns out to be interested in someone else. All the other girls begin chasing newly-detached Richard and Patty can't get a date with anyone.

Very Phone-Y Situation
When Martin puts a time limit on everyone's phone calls, the kids try to earn money to buy their own phone.
