The Best House in Town
This heart-warming new format celebrates the extraordinary lengths ordinary home owners go to in order to make their place stand out from the crowd.

Episode 1
Today three detached properties in York compete to be chosen for the Friday final of the Best House in Town: A Victorian cottage with its roots in the local past. A 1960’s farmhouse was given a new lease of life.

Episode 2
A modern penthouse with a killer view; A split level flat with a very sweet history; A new-build that takes the judges down ‘the rabbit hole’; And a Georgian flat built in the shadow of York’s medieval walls.

Episode 3
A two-up, two-down, 1930’s home reinvented for the modern taste; Another 1930’s home more traditionally restored; and a 1970’s communal build, with some surprises from its past.

Episode 4
An eco-friendly dream home designed for the future; A converted barn renovated with a slick, modern twist; And a 5 story Georgian townhouse saved from the jaws of dilapidation.

Episode 5
The winning homes from the four categories in York – the best detached, best apartment, best semi-detached, and best wildcard property – are revisited by the judges.

Episode 6
Today three terraces in St Albans go head-to-head in order to impress the 5 local judges and be chosen to compete in this week’s final of the Best House in Town.

Episode 7
Today it’s the turn of the Semi-detached properties to battle it out for a place in this week’s final of the Best House in St Albans: First up is a vibrant family home with an industrial twist.

Episode 8
First up is an ultra-modern family home. Next on the agenda is a country lodge given a new lease of life. And last up is 1970s house, updated for the 21st century. Which of these amazing properties will the 5 local judges give the honour too?

Episode 9
Today, three Leicester ‘wildcard’ properties are thrown into the mix and dazzle the ‘Nosey Neighbours’ into being selected for the final of the Best House in Town.

Episode 10
The winning homes from the four categories in St Albans – the best detached, best terrace, best semi-detached and best wildcard property – are revisited by the 5 judges, locals to this small Hertfordshire town.

Episode 11
In this heart-warming new series, three detached homes in Leicestershire compete to become the best house in town. Judging them are none other than the 'nosey neighbours'.

Episode 12
Competing today are a traditional Edwardian end-of-terrace, a Victorian terrace brought crashing into the 21st century, and a terrace that’s been stretched to its limit.

Episode 13
Today three wildcard properties compete. The property owners are so proud of what they’ve achieved, they’re prepared to hand over their keys to a team of discerning neighbours.

Episode 14
Battling it out for a place in the final are a fun, shabby chic family home, a third-generation family home with some techy twists, and finally an Edwardian semi, with some rather eclectic interiors.

Episode 15
Today the judges, a group of knowledgeable property obsessed ‘nosey neighbours’ revisit all of this week’s finalists to decide who deserves the ultimate accolade of The Best House in Town.

Episode 16
In the final week of this heart-warming new series, the owners of three terrace houses in Cardiff are handing over their keys to a group of their knowledgeable ‘nosey neighbours’.

Episode 17
Battling it out for a place in the final are a renovated, 3-story, a semi with a pastiche of colour; a period semi with a modern twist; and a rustic, shabby-chic home with a love of upcycling.

Episode 18
Today three much-loved detached properties in Cardiff compete to be chosen for the final of the best house in town.

Episode 19
Competing are a bold and quirky terraced home, a modern renovated bathhouse, and a sleek modern new build that was shortlisted for the Welsh Architecture Prize in 2018.

Episode 20
Today, it’s the final of this week’s The Best House in Town. The winning homes from the four categories in Cardiff go head to head.
