Episode 1
Four new couples from around Australia are about to embark upon the greatest challenge of their lives. Their excitement quickly turns to shock as they enter their apartments and try to come to terms with the enormity of the project.
Episode 2
The couples are searching for the best tradesmen at the right prices... all except the Melbourne couple who think they have an ace up their sleeve.
Episode 3
Living amongst the filth and rubble is becoming unbearable as the contestants struggle to maintain their presentation at work. The couples are working out who they do and don't want to be friends with.
Episode 4
Dani and Monique face their worst nightmare when a newspaper article discloses information about Dani's past. He and Monique are prepared to leave The Block if the other couples want them to go.
Episode 5
Jason returns to The Block and sees his bedroom windows painted with accusations of cheating. Tempers flare as Matt & Jane and Richard & Steven confront Jason & Kirsten about not living at The Block.
Episode 6
The couples are devastated when they read in the paper that Dani & Monique have left The Block. And as tension reaches an all-time high within one of the couples, another contestant is ready to walk out.
Episode 7
Meet the new couple, Jamie & Andrew who are stunned to learn they have just one week to complete a room.
Episode 8
2nd room reveal... but a huge mistake threatens to blow Jamie & Andrew's chances of finishing their bedroom.
Episode 9
When Richard & Steven and Matt & Jane hired a private investigator to keep track of how much time Kirsten & Jason were spending at home, they thought it was funny. But will Kirsten & Jason see the funny side when they discover the P.I.?
Episode 10
All the couples are earnestly working on their 3rd rooms. Jamie wants to knock down walls but settles for trying unsuccessfully, to build a bathroom with Andrew.
Episode 11
Most of the 3rd rooms are taking shape but Matt and Jane's kitchen is way behind schedule and their clever design idea may turn into a real nightmare.
Episode 12
3rd room reveal. This week glass splash backs, halogen lighting and bathroom taps prove to be problematic as the couples struggle to finish their rooms.
Episode 13
Paul & Kylie judge the 3rd rooms. Tension mounts within one of the couples as they can't agree on a design for their next room. And Matt and Jane go to Melbourne for their wedding.
Episode 14
The Wedding episode. All the couples discuss their relationships and how living at The Block has affected them.
Episode 15
It's the day after Matt & Jane's wedding and they are reluctantly heading back to The Block. Andrew is concerned that their courtyard is 30 square metres smaller than Jason and Kirsten's and wants the land to be re-divided equally.
Episode 16
It's the lead up to the 4th room reveal. Matt & Jane's den is going according to plan. Jamie & Andrew get an invoice from their 3rd builder and freak out. At night, Richard visits Kirsten and Jason.
Episode 17
Amity and Phil from Block 1 help real estate guru, John McGrath, judge the 4th rooms - bathrooms by Kirsten & Jason, Jamie & Andrew and Richard & Steven and Matt & Jane's den slash third bedroom. The best room prize goes to Jamie & Andrew.
Episode 18
Work continues on the 5th rooms – Richard & Steven are doing their kitchen/ lounge room; Matt & Jane, lounge room; Kirsten & Jason, kitchen and Jamie & Andrew kitchen/dining/lounge.
Episode 19
Work continues on the 5th rooms... and the couples work together to get the stairwell finished to each collect $2,500. But different tastes and different ideas mean this isn't going to be an easy week.
Episode 20
It's day 71. There's one month to go on The Block and the contestants discuss how they're feeling. Everyone is still trying to finish off the stairwell to each collect the $2500 to go towards their apartments.
Episode 21
The contestants leave go to work leaving behind the tradesman to complete the stairwell by this evening. Block 1 winners, Fiona & Adam, return to judge the 5th rooms with John McGrath.
Episode 22
Richard and Steven invite all the contestants and Jamie Durie around to their place. They surprise everyone with gift baskets and a visit from The Lion King singers who perform acappella.
Episode 23
The couples have just appeared on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" where Matt & Jane won $64,000 for charity. They had a fantastic time, as did Jamie, Andrew, Richard and Steven. But they'll all reeling from Kirsten's uncharitable attitude and behaviour.
Episode 24
It's the final week at The Block so it's time to 'fix-up' and 'finish off'. Matt and Jane are behind the eight ball because they have to re-do their upstairs bathroom.
Episode 25
Moving out day. The couples reflect on their time at The Block... how they felt when they arrived, their sense of achievement, what it's done to their relationship and how the relationships with the other contestants have ebbed and flowed.
Episode 26
It's Auction Day and the apartments are open for inspection. The stakes are high, and the favourite couple competition winner is announced. Finally the highest price and overall winners are revealed.
