Episode 1
The Block returns for 2012 as eight new couples meet their host Scott Cam in Melbourne to compete in a fierce elimination challenge that will see the final four move into this year's Block.
Episode 2
The competition heats up in the Red Elimination House as The Block hosts a state of origin clash with Brad and Lara from New South Wales taking on a father and daughter team Larry and Jessie from Queensland.
Episode 3
It's the battle of the newlyweds in the third elimination challenge, with Sophie and Dale taking on Brendan and Michelle.
Episode 4
The last team from the Red House, brothers Andrew and Mike, take on the Block's first-ever mother and son team, Rana and Brett, for the last remaining house.
Episode 5
The four remaining couples are welcomed to Luna Park in Melbourne by Scotty Cam for their next big challenge which will determine who gets the first choice of the houses.
Episode 6
Neale Whitaker chooses inspirational pieces for elimination rooms. The furniture from the elimination house is given to the Lighthouse Foundation.
Episode 7
Scotty Cam introduces the couples to their new homes: four dilapidated, gold-rush-era houses in South Melbourne with dirt floors and just a few walls.
Episode 8
Challenge master Shelley Craft puts the couples through their next big challenge; They're all desperate for cash to renovate their homes, and Shelley is going to make them earn every penny.
Episode 9
The Blockheads struggle to complete their first room in primitive conditions in time for the judges' arrival.

The Blockheads take part in their first challenge in Scotty's workshop. The task seems simple at first but, as always, Scotty has a big twist up his sleeve.

All four couples are desperately trying to keep their renovations on track for this week's room delivery as Scott Cam and Shelley Craft drop in to review progress of their master bedrooms and ensuites.

After delivering two whole rooms for the judges, the couples face an even tougher task: challenge master Shelley Craft gives them two rooms in one day. Guest judge Darren Palmer will award one team an extra $5000.

Site Foreman Keith has some bad news for one team when they attempt to redesign their powder room under the stairs at the last-minute. With an upstairs guest room to deliver as well, everyone is feeling the pressure.

The Blockheads are called into Scotty's workshop for a crash course in upholstery and sewing using second-hand fabrics and clothing.

The race is on to finish another two rooms but a sudden game of paint ball puts a halt on renovations. Also, the boys decide to test their pain barriers by engaging in some friendly waxing.

Judges Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and John McGrath, review the master bedrooms and ensuites, and the Blockheads cast their eyes over each other's rooms for the first time.

The Blockheads race to complete and impress with their guest bedrooms. With some all-important bonus points up for grabs, it's all hands on decks.

Challenge Master Shelley Craft goes green with a pedal-powered challenge: each couple must generate their own electricity to make a DIY windmill. But what starts out eco-friendly quickly goes downhill.

It's bathroom week and everyone is having issues with their renovations. Dan and Dani have spent $5000 on a bath but then discover it won't fit. One team breaks the noise restriction rules, and the others are not happy about it.

Host Scott Cam has set the couples a mind-bending challenge when he presents them with the world's hardest flat-pack. There are bonus points on the line if they can complete it and a hidden message from the judges.

Tensions run high when Dan confronts Dale over the noise violation. Meanwhile, Scott Cam and Shelley Craft review the progress as the couples struggle to complete their bathrooms.
