Ricky and Fred are scheduled to judge a beauty contest but Lucy and Ethel plan for them to miss it. The four go out on a little cruise before the contest and Lucy has arranged for the boat's gas tank to be only half-filled.

Ricky insults Lucy's taste in hats so, as a joke, Lucy puts a loving cap trophy on her head that Ricky plans to present to champion jockey Johnny Longden at a National Turf Association dinner later that night. The trophy gets stuck on Lucy's head.

Wanting to replace their old furniture, Lucy gets an allowance of $500 from Ricky. Lucy goes overboard when she shops with their new neighbor Betty Ramsey, spending over three thousand dollars!

Lucy Raises Chickens
Although there are perks to living in their new country home, like House & Garden wanting to do a spread on them, the Ricardos find that it is expensive in Connecticut. Lucy decides to raise chickens and sell eggs as a moneymaking sideline.

Lucy Does The Tango
The Ricardos and Mertzes, impatient with their egg selling business, decide that they must trade in their 500 chicks for 200 egg laying hens. However, after a couple of weeks, these hens don't yield many eggs at all.

Ragtime Band
Lucy decides to take part in the fund-raising campaign of the Westport Historical Society and offers to get her husband and his band to perform for their kickoff function. There's only one hitch – Ricky refuses to do it.

Lucy's Night In Town
Lucy dreams of a night in New York City after spending six whole weeks in their new Connecticut home and it turns into a nightmare. Carefully hoarded tickets to a Broadway musical are supposed to take the Ricardos and the Mertzes to see the sold-out show.

Housewarming
Ethel is jealous of Lucy's friendship with neighbor Betty Ramsey. Sensitive to this, Lucy decides that the three of them should have a nice lunch together. Although reticent at first, Ethel opens up to Betty upon hearing they are both from Albuquerque.

Building a Bar-B-Q
Lucy must get vacationing Ricky out of her hair so she can do her housework. She and Ethel trick their husbands into building a brick barbecue on the Ricardo patio by first pretending to build it themselves.

Country Club Dance
The Ricardos and the Mertzes go with their neighbors, Ralph and Betty Ramsey, to the country club dance where a pretty visitor quickly convinces the men they are Romeos in disguise. They are each taken with Diana, the young beautiful cousin of a neighbor.

Lucy Raises Tulips
Suburbanite Lucy gets a green thumb and a competitive spirit. She has been raising tulips with a vengeance and wants to dethrone her neighbor Betty Ramsey for "Best Looking Garden" in the local garden club competition.

Ricardos Dedicate A Statue
The town of Westport has commissioned a statue of a Minuteman to commemorate the Revolutionary War. The whole town is involved, from Fred who will serve as town crier to Ricky who will make the dedication speech.
