Whispered stories about Caitlin's favorite teacher, Ms. Avery, hint that she is a lesbian. Troubled by the accusations and by doubts about her own sexuality, Caitlin confronts Ms. Avery, who helps her understand that rumors never tell the whole story.

When LD.'s father is suddenly taken to the hospital, LD. Is terrified that she will lose him, as she lost her mother. Meanwhile, Melanie has to confront her own unfounded fear when a snake gets loose in school.

What a Night!
Voula befriends Lucy, but, when the two girls go shopping, she learns that Lucy keeps her stylish wardrobe up to date by shoplifting. Meanwhile, Step learns what it means to take responsibility for her actions.

Smokescreen
Rick, a poor student and loner at Degrassi, joins a committee in order to get to know Caitlin. Despite an unfriendly welcome from Kathleen, Caitlin supports Rick and they work together on a successful project.

It's Late!
At one of Lucy's parties, Spike and Shane lock themselves in a bedroom, where one thing leads to another. When her period is late, Spike has to confront the consequences of her actions.

Parents' Night
When Wheels' real father shows up out of the blue, he must deal with his feelings about his adoptive parents, his birth parents and his own identity. Spike confirms that she is pregnant, and she approaches Wheels for advice on the option of abortion.

Revolution!
To make Wheels jealous, Stephanie, the school president, appoints Joey as the Sports Rep., even though the post is supposed to be held by a seventh grader. As a result, the seventh grade class wants to impeach her.
