The Third Reich in Color
The Third Reich's classic black-and-white images are supplemented by rare color footage, revealing Normandy beaches, festivals, Wehrmacht atrocities, Hitler's farm, and the reality of Nazi crimes.

Part 1: The Dictator
From 1937, colour films also document life in Hitler's Germany. Eva Braun and Hitler's pilot Hans Baur are among the first amateur filmmakers to expose the new celluloid.

Part 2: War on Hitler
During the war with the Soviet Union, 35mm color footage was used for Nazi propaganda. Hitler's pilot filmed his visit to the front lines.

Part 3: The Liberation of France
In 1944, in southern England, Allied troops are getting ready to land in Normandy. US soldier Jack Lieb is there with his amateur camera. On D-Day, John Ford shoots in colour with his camera crews.
