Edwardian Farm - Episode 1

Archaeologists Alex Langlands and Peter Ginn and historian Ruth Goodman arrive at Morwhellam Quay in Devon. They examine the vast array of buildings and tools from the Edwardian period that will be at their disposal for the next 12 months.

Edwardian Farm - Episode 2

It’s October and the Edwardian farmers branch out into new ventures like market gardening, all year round egg production and beef cattle.

It’s November and, to prosper as Edwardian farmers, the team need to get to grips with the technologies of the age and use Edwardian science to set up an exciting new venture on the farm.

It’s December and, as winter sets in, the team must face the challenge of earning a living in one of the hardest months of the year.

It’s January and the harshest winter in living memory forces to further explore the ways in which an Edwardian farmer would look to make a living away from the farm.
